Let Children Be Creative, Not Robots!

For one of my college classes, we are supposed to create a blog and post something on it that focuses on something we feel very passionate about in our field of study. I am currently an Elementary Education Major, and what I want to discuss the elimination of creativity that seems to becoming popular in the school system. Children are being made to do things in a particular way, and if they do not do it that way, then they are wrong. Kids are being stripped of their creativity, and it is not right. Many schools nowadays are even getting of the Arts. Nothing makes me more mad than those who hate on the Arts and what they are. The arts, whether it be theater, art, or music, all have an important part and function in the education of students. It gives them the ability to create and imagine things. Children, without creativity, turn into robots. What kind of school system wants children to be all the same with the same thought processes? This is just wrong.
